Mining students, teaching assistants win outstanding awards

The College of Engineering honored 17 undergraduate seniors, nine graduate students, and 10 teaching assistants for top performance in academics and research at the University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center on April 8.

"This is one of the best days of the year," said David W. Hahn, the Craig M. Berge Dean of the college. "Today, we get to celebrate you and everything you've accomplished."

The college recognized School of Mining Engineering and Mineral Resources senior Robyn Bufano, graduate student Diego Canullan and teaching assistant Sylvester Avane for excellence in academics, teaching and research.
