At Home in Paradise

Ana Ingstrom was the first woman to receive a mining engineering undergraduate degree in Mexico. That was 1988. Twenty-six years, three sons, and another degree later, she received a master’s degree in mining engineering from the University of Arizona. Today she works as a mining engineer for the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado.

"The environment in the school felt like paradise. It was like being back in a family."
