U of A Geosciences students and faculty are involved in everything from predicting earthquakes to finding and extracting minerals from mines to monitoring coral reefs. We work outside, in laboratories, and on computers. We even have a project on Mars! 

U of A Students looking to work in exploration geology typically get a Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience with an emphasis in Geology followed by an advanced degree with a focus on economic geology.
