1. Send Us Your Job & Internship Postings 

If you have internships or full-time positions, share your postings with us at mining@arizona.edu. Please include the position description, link to posting, and specific degrees you are seeking. We'll share your jobs with University of Arizona students via our Handshake account.

2. Do On-Campus Recruiting

We'll host your company at the Dept. of Mining & Geological Engineering, to recruit mining and geoscience undergrads and students enrolled in our Sustainable Mineral Resources Minor degree. 

These are typically 2-day events, with information and recruiting sessions. Contact us to schedule or to customize a live recruitment event.

The University of Arizona Engineering Student Council invites you to attend the largest student-run career fair for engineers in Arizona. The Industry Career Fair Exposition (iExpo) provides an excellent opportunity for corporations and government agencies to interact with 3,000+ talented undergraduate and graduate engineering students in 17 different engineering degree programs. 7. Volunteer for a K-12 Outreach Event

Teachers and educators in the primary school system are on the front-lines of mining social license, by helping kids understand where minerals come from and how they are extracted and processed. 

Our K-12 Outreach Coordinators can help you craft a custom presentation focused on the educational aspects of what you do, so students are thinking of mining & minerals careers before college. Contact us to learn more.

8. Connect with Student Clubs 

Our mining & mineral science students actively engage in student-run chapters of various professional organizations, including SME (Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration), WIM (Women In Mining), and SESS (Society of Earth Science Students).

Check out the Student Clubs & Associations page to setup a meet & greet, where you can introduce careers at your company and actively recruit.

9. Make a Personal Impression

Gen Z prefer authentic connections where they are seen as individuals with something unique to contribute. At the end of the day, nothing beats face-to-face contact to engage your future workforce. Connect early (before graduation), and often (don't forget to follow-up), and do something to make the experience memorable. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture - remembering a personal detail about them can go a long way towards filling your workforce pipeline!
