The Tailings and Mine Waste Conference provides a forum for presenting the state-of-art and state-of-practice with respect to mill tailings and mine waste. It is also an unmatched platform to discuss current and future issues facing the tailings, mining and environmental communities.

Tailings and Mine Waste 2023 will be Chaired by Dr. Caius Priscu, Adjunct Professor at N.B.K Institute of Mining Engineering, UBC and Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Priscu and Associates Consulting Engineers Inc. The 2023 conference program will include keynote addresses and technical presentations by practitioners and well-known experts in tailings and mine waste from across the world.

Volunteer at the Conference

Volunteering at the conference is a great way to add to your resume and have the opportunity to network with professionals, learn new skills and gain more subject matter expertise. The conferences invites students who are currently registered at an accredited school to volunteer at the Tailings and Mine Waste 2023 event.

The expectation for volunteers is to be available for 8-12 hours during the 4-day conference and provide support to the event management team. Complimentary registration is provided to volunteers with a minimum of 8 volunteer hours. Please fill out the Volunteer Application Form to be considered for a volunteer position.
